Approaching normality

My schedule was all warped today because I woke up way earlier than I should have this morning and then was unwilling/unable to get back to sleep. Since it was only maybe an hour or two since I would have normally been up and around anyway, for some reason it struck me as a good idea to stream some old episodes of 30 Rock into my brain. When I watch TV first thing in the morning...that basically just messes up my whole day, because afterward I'm just really not in the mood to do anything else.

In any case...I spent more time jacked back into the ol' (new) social network today, though it kinda got broken up in the middle there somewhere. I think I can make this workable, but I really have to not, like...sit in front of the computer waiting for updates all day. That shit just isn't healthy. On the upside, it gives me something to do while I'm sitting around immobile waiting for my back to get better. On that topic, though, it actually does look like my back is getting better, so that's encouraging. In fact, the good news is that I was actually in good enough of shape today for long enough a time that I was able to go for a pretty decent walk. The bad news is, that walk ended up with me in McDonald's. Ah, well, you do what you can.

Anyhoo. I'm staying up way too late tonight; a couple things cropped up kinda last minute, but I'm getting ready to call it a night. Before I go, though, a small aside...

You may have heard me mention Axe Cop around here from time to time. Which is only right, because it's awesome. You may also remember that a little while back, I mentioned it was getting released out in the real world via Dark Horse Comics. I learned today something that I think at least one of you will find interesting: the one and only Jhonen Vasquez did one of the pinups in the new book. So that lends a bit of legitimacy there, eh? ;)

Bonus: Vasquez showed up once in an episode of Axe Cop back in the day. Can you spot him? :)

Okay, that's it for tonight, everybody. Peace!
