"The problem with you still think you're real."

So yesterday morning I woke up ungodly early in the morning, for reasons never adequately explained. This wasn't wholly unprecedented, I guess, but it was still pretty unusual. Anyway, what was really weird about it was that I couldn't get back to sleep...not for a couple hours, anyway. But, being the trooper I am, I stuck with it, and eventually I fell back asleep, only to wake up hours later having overslept quite a bit. I figured I probably should remember that for next time.

Well, next time turned out to be the next morning. That is, today. I woke up more or less at the same time as I did yesterday, and I had the same trouble falling back asleep. This time, though, I just went with it and tried to get up and start my day. I guess I was partially successful, anyway; it's hard to define what really comprises my day, I suppose. But regardless, I did try to get up and at least get moving. Unforunately, I also got hit with a mad allergic sneezing fit, so I popped an antihistamine to calm that bad boy down. This, of course, had the amazing side-effect of making my mad sleepy, so bizarrely, I spent the pre-dawn hours this morning when I would normally be sleeping awake, although quite sleepy. It was weird.

It reminded me that, in a few weeks, I'm going to become one of those weird people who works nights. I'm going to have to sleep at weird times and be awake in the dark a lot. I don't think I've kept that unusual of a sleep cycle probably since college, and I'm not as young as I used to be. Should be pretty interesting. Even more training session before I start the gig proper is basically a regular business day, and then I have like a week to reset my sleep schedule to work swing. Good times. ;) here I am, mildly dippy and trying to at least stay up long enough to watch the end of Ghost on TV and possibly stand a chance of waking up at a reasonable hour in the morning. Also...I may spend the day tomorrow picking up trash on a beach. Not sure about that yet, but I'll be sure to keep y'all posted. Peace!
